Comparable to Monster Networking (also owns Monster Jobs), BlackPlanet is used for networking with business professionals but is also used for social networking. As a part of the social networking portion of BP, they offer chat and dating channels to meet other single blacks.

While they do charge for their services they also place advertising throughout their site that can sometimes be quite annoying.
